<p>On Friday, August 27, 2010 the MARS Support Platform was delivered to the Columbia Test Center (CTC) at 2701 Salk Avenue, in Richland Washington. This platform had undergone refurbishment and fabrication activities to prepare it for field deployment for upcoming waste retrieval operations at 241-C-107. The fabrication activities included safety significant component installation and testing, wiring modifications, and factory tests to demonstrate readiness of the equipment prior to upcoming final acceptance tests at the CTC. The platform weighs 37,800 lb and will be joined with the remainder of the MARS equipment the week of August 30.</p>
